Industry Safety Stand Down is a Canadian industry-wide initiative that encourages management to visit front line workers and talk about safety. Coordinated by Enform, which is an industry wide safety organization, employees and contractors from across our operations participated for the 8th year in 2010.

Each of us is a leader when we hold safety first and foremost year-round. The 2010 theme, Together We Can Make Difference, speaks to the fact that Encana has an ever growing safety culture--one that reinforces the notion that safety is everyone's responsibility.

Safety Stand Down is just one part of our focus on continuous improvement in safety performance at Encana.
