Encana encourages each employee to make a difference in their community through our annual giving campaign, matching gifts program and employee volunteer program.

The annual giving campaign allows employees to plan their annual giving and have their donations automatically deducted from their pay throughout the year. Encana sends the donations to the charities of choice at the beginning of the year along with the Encana matching amount. Through the matching gifts program Encana will match employee donations made throughout the year to charities of their choosing.

Introduced in 2008, the volunteer program allows employees and their immediate families to apply for grants based on the number of hours they volunteer with a non-profit or charitable organization. Our annual Share Your Heart Day is a company-wide event where employees and their families participate in volunteer activities in their communities. In 2008, 2009, and 2010 Encana families were proud volunteers at many locations including a community clean up in Drumheller, Alberta, fixing bikes for kids at the Southern Alberta Ronald McDonald House, painting the Boys and Girls Club in Calgary, Alberta, and planting trees in Denver, Colorado.
