With a major corporate reorganization and shift in focus to pure play natural gas, 2009 was a year of great change for Encana. Our ongoing success depends upon the performance of our people, adherence to our responsible policies and practices and simply, upon doing what's right. Keeping this philosophy in mind, we recognize people have questions about hydraulic fracturing. The Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) is a multi-stakeholder governed institution collaborating to provide the global standards in sustainability reporting. We use the latest GRI guidelines (G3) as a framework for what to report and how to measure performance. We take the time and make the effort to measure our performance so that we can learn year over year just how we are doing.
