Our Cutbank Ridge resource play spans northeast British Columbia and northwest Alberta, and consists of gas production from the Montney, Cadomin and Doig geological formations. We hold approximately one million acres of land in this area.
Using the latest technology to produce gas from within this tight gas reservoir, our focus at Cutbank Ridge is on long-term growth.
The use of horizontal drilling and multi-stage hydraulic fracture stimulation techniques has generated attractive results in Cutbank Ridge. The Montney formation has been producing since 1998 and is the future of our production growth in this area, with approximately 693,000 net acres of Montney rights. The Cadomin and Doig formations also add significant production to this resource play.
In our 2010 operations we drilled approximately 62 net wells in the Cutbank Ridge.
