Michael McAllister

Executive Vice-President, Encana Corporation & Acting President, Canadian Division

As Executive Vice-President, Encana Corporation & Acting President, Canadian Division, Mike leads the Canadian Deep Basin Business Unit. He is responsible for two of Encana's key resource plays, Cutbank Ridge in British Columbia and northwest Alberta, and Bighorn in west central Alberta. As Acting President, Mike will also oversee other Canadian Division resource play assets in Western and Atlantic Canada.

Mike has extensive experience in the oil and natural gas industry across Western Canada, previously working in technical and leadership roles for Texaco Canada and Imperial Oil Resources. Mike joined one of Encana's predecessor companies in 2000. After the formation of Encana in 2002, Mike successfully led his business unit in the capture and development of Encana's Montney interests.

Mike earned his Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering, with distinction, from Concordia University in 1981 where he was awarded the Mechanical Engineering Medal, Lilley F. Barrie Scholarship, Canadian Iron and Titanium Scholarship and the National Science and Engineering Research Council Master's Scholarship. In 2001 Mike completed the Executive Program at the Queen's School of Business.
