Bill Stevenson

Executive Vice-President & Chief Accounting Officer

Bill is responsible for company-wide corporate comptrollership and accounting functions within Encana. This includes financial and management reporting, accounting research and accounting systems.

Bill joined one of Encana’s predecessor companies in 1992 and in 2002 assumed the role of Comptroller, accountable for Upstream North America Finance. In 2003 Bill took on additional responsibility for Encana’s international accounting areas and in 2005 became Vice-President & Corporate Comptroller for the company. In December 2009 Bill was appointed Executive Vice-President & Chief Accounting Officer for Encana.

Bill earned an accounting diploma from the Saskatchewan Technical Institute in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan and received his Certified Management Accounting designation in 1984. He has over 30 years of experience in the oil and natural gas industry in both the U.S. and Canada.

Bill and his wife Jane have three daughters and live in Calgary.
